She’s already won awards and gained success with the Reapers Choir but that hasn’t stopped Anu Omideyi from doing something new and different.
For fans of UK gospel music Anu’s will be a familiar face. But she doesn’t like standing still for too long. A criminal barrister for 14 years, the leader of the Reapers Choir after leaving law to pursue her music career full time, now a solo artist with a great worship EP.
The Worship Music Go On is the first project from Anu as a solo artist that chronicles the journey of a worshipper. The four songs cover a lot of ground and have quickly resonated with listeners just days after release.
We first got a taste of Anu’s work with the upbeat single Restore the Joy. It was immediately picked up by Premier Gospel as its Track of the Week. The video for the title track The Worship Music Go On followed after and shows Anu in full flow, doing what she does best. The rest of the EP are also successful in leading listeners into a worshipful atmosphere.
Anu’s ability to do this well is no surprise. She has led worship at her church Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK for over 20 years. And so although this is her solo debut, performing the songs in a live setting will be a natural progression for her.
The EP, The Worship Music Go On is out now. https://smarturl.it/oabf1v
